Elections for the European Parliament will take place between the 6th and 9th June 2024. It’s a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of animals.
The European Parliament is made up of Members of European Parliament (MEPs) who represent all EU citizens. They play a crucial role in how we live our lives as well as shaping important laws related to animal welfare. It's more important than ever that we have MEPs who are committed to advancing animal welfare and prioritise the wellbeing of animals.
Topics such as the trade of sick puppies across borders, the transportation of terrified unweaned calves across the continent, and the cruel practice of fur farming, are all on the agenda. We’re standing at a critical crossroad for animal welfare. It's essential to have a strong group of MEPs who want to work towards creating a better future for all animals.
The more MEPs who have pledged to protect animals, the greater focus there will be on animal welfare issues and the closer we are to creating a Europe where animals are treated with respect, empathy, and understanding.
